Immerse yourself in the rich cultural legacy of Baltimore’s Mt. Vernon Cultural District with a walking tour! Maryland Humanities tour docent Michele Alexander highlights literary luminaries who lived in the neighborhood, such as Edgar Allan Poe, HL Mencken, Upton Sinclair, and Gertrude Stein. Relish a brief rare book presentation by Curator Paul Espinosa in the stunning George Peabody Library and take in the glorious architecture of one of Baltimore’s most beautiful neighborhoods. The tour concludes with a cocktail reception and bar snacks at The Owl Bar, housed in the Beaux Arts-style Belvedere Hotel.
