Janet Maher, artist and Loyola University Maryland professor emeritus, demonstrates traditional methods of Asian bookmaking and the floating ink method of paper marbling. Grab a drink and delicious Asian fare as Janet walks you through making your own flutter book with suminagashi paper covers and beautiful stab-binding designs. Then create your own marbled papers. You'll leave with knowledge of simple skills to make useful and decorative paper works of art at home!
